How do I go about meeting new people?

I recently relocated for my job, and now I don't know anybody where I live. I moved to Fort Lauderdale and am kind of scared to go out alone. I'm not really the church type, and bars are not my thing either. Any advice on how (or where) to meet some new people around my age? I'm 26 by the way.How do I go about meeting new people?

I'd say they gym. Especially the classes! It's a lot of fun. Or you can go to clubs...you don't have to drink...just dance. Or a pool hall! Good luck!!
