Whats a good site for meeting people with similar interests and stuff?

Not necessarily for dating, just friends.

I know the most popular networking sites are Face book, MySpace etc.

But they seem a little too informal and impersonal.

OkCupid is a fun, popular dating site, I really enjoyed it. You can mark your preference as looking for only friends, and it's totally free.

i havnt used it but my friend has. it a penpal website and people from around the world use it too, so you can get to know people from different countries.
