How do you become a country singer is you live in CA?

I just wanted to know...how do you set up a meeting with a record label if you're only 12, want to play country music, and live in the suburbs of Los Angeles? I really want to be a singer like Taylor Swift or Carrie Underwood, but I don't know how if I'm so young. What's your advice? How would you get attention from record labels, besides posting YouTube videos and waiting?How do you become a country singer is you live in CA?

Country radio is always a good place to start. Find air talent (disk jockey) that likes you and he/she can help promote you.



If you really have got it down and have everything you need to put on a show (a band) ---consider auditioning for Prairie Home Companion with Garrison on NPR. Listen to the program first --- don't audition if you're not ready, not good enough yet --- it will be really tough to get a second audition.How do you become a country singer is you live in CA?
