Well, you're smart to want to meet her somewhere publicly. That's a safe tactic. There's nothing wrong with meeting people online, so long as you do so with precautions. Meet publicly, be honest, don't attempt to deceive. Don't go to their house, and they don't go to your house. Keep this up for a little while til a decent offline friendship develops.
