Any art stores? See if they have any weekend classes. Check out the night classes in art being offered by your local universities.
Summer classes at the university too--don't forget to look at those.
You can take your sketchbook and sketch in public, putting a folded cardboard sign (11 x 8" in size) saying 'artist--talk to me!' and you'll get people coming up. I couldn't keep people away from me at the zoo when I was trying to sketch the animals for a project (and no I didn't have the card with me!).
There's also the online place of 'meet-up' where you type in your interest and your zip code to see how many people are signed in for the same things in your immediate area.
Is there a local college nearby? and if there isn't is there one in your state that has an on line program. Perhaps seeing if there is an on line class in art or music might help.How can i meet new creative people when i live in the middle of no where?
I agree with Susan, using the Internet isa great way to meet people with similar interests... If you are in High School see if there is an Art club or something
Start a group in your town . Ask at the local community college if you can volunteer to teach a course in art or music appreciation. Begin a CD of the week club and put up notices about the meeting times in public places. Try neighbouring towns and see if they have any of the above that you could join up with.
