Is there any way to find new people on xbox live?

I know you can play games to meet new people, but I have an interest in meeting German people on xbox live because I want to get to know Germany better since my ancestry is mostly German. Is there any way to target a certain group like that?Is there any way to find new people on xbox live?
The only way I could think of is to set your personal information home country to Germany. I would assume you would find more german people that way.Is there any way to find new people on xbox live?
You realize XBL isn't a chatroom, right? Sure, you can talk to people, but you have to be connected to them in a game, which is usually random. It's going to be hard to find just German gamers on XBL. Even setting your profile info to Germany won't change the fact you're connecting with an IP address based in the U.S. (or whatever country you're in), so that is not a sure fire way of finding German gamers. Not to mention they may all be speaking German, not English (although you didnt say if you can speak it or not).



I would suggest posting your request in the forum on a gaming website like GamesRadar or IGN and look for German people that way, and then you can friend them on XBL. Any other method of finding German gamers on XBL itself is probably not going to work too well.Is there any way to find new people on xbox live?
you could set your local in settings to germany as some games have the option to find games with people in the same country as set as local
