Can I attend a shareholder meeting with my husband?

Shares are community property, is that not right? Can I vote on behalf of my half? We are 20% owners, but not at good terms with the other shareholders. Would they have the right to kick me out of the meeting? We live in Texas, btw.. Thank you in advance..Can I attend a shareholder meeting with my husband?
If your name is on the stock, or the shareholder paperwork/certificates then you may attend the meeting since you are a shareholder. If your name is not on the shares then they may well be within their rights to ask you to leave. A person can only vote if their name is actually on the shares so unless your name is on the shares, you cannot vote. Community Property doesn't really enter into this situation. It sounds like this is a company with very few (less than 10 ) shareholders. If there are personal issues about the company or business differences then you may be better off not going. What is your purpose for attending the meeting? (That is a rhetorical queston by the way). If you are going to silently support your husband who is the actual shareholder, that may be a good thing, as long as you are silent. If you "disrupt" the meeting by speaking, the chairperson, legally, could have you forcibly removed by security or the police. Non-shareholders may not speak at shareholder meetings. They will not be "recognized" by the chairperson at the meeting. The fact that you live in Texas makes no difference.
