I don't know any that will have a back room for only 8 - 10 people. Most save their rooms for larger groups. So you would have people all around while you have the meeting anyway.
I know this might not be what you want, but have your considered Beck's Prime off Westheimer? The prices are reasonable, menu is varied, they serve wine %26amp; beer and the place is usually not loud.
I've seen several groups meeting in there in the past few months.
EDIT: Well, then! Let us know what you find. Hope it works out...What is a good somewhat low priced restaurant in Houston, TX for a group meeting set up?
You're going to have a hard time finding a low priced establishment with waiters and a full bar in that particular area of the city. But, try to look for an Italian chain restaurant, like Carraba's. This would be your best bet.
There's one at:

Maybe Maggiano's? Most of the restaurants with a full bar are going to be a bit loud. Ask for a private room.
