big cities...smaller cities....or small towns. Im open to anything.Where is the best area (in the US) for a 18-22 year old to live and meet people close to their age?
I would have to say Dallas. I suppose I'm partially biased because I live there. ;-) There is some research below that does say it's a good place to head to if you are looking to get a head in your professional career just out of college or starting out, some others are Houston, Minneapolis, Boston, New York, and Austin.
As far as the social scene Austin makes the list again as number 1 so if you're looking for a great social life and career, that might be the place to go. The Forbes list places San Francisco as number 1 for dating, along with LA, Chicago, Dallas, Seattle, San Diego and Philadelphia to name a few. This list is not much different, from their best places for college grads and young professional "to live" lists.
Check out all my source links for top cities for finding jobs for recent grads as well as the best cities for young singles to date and socialize. Good luck and best wishes to you! ~J~

There is no answer to that question. Meeting people is a social skill, and it doesn't matter what size city or town you live in.
