Can an employer make a meeting mandatory without pay?

I work for a restaurant and they are trying to make tomorrow's night meeting mandatory, however they have no intention on paying us. They are also saying that if we do not attend we will be written up.

If someone knows of a site that states where this is legal or illegal please give me the link.

by the way i live in Indiana.

thanks :)Can an employer make a meeting mandatory without pay?
I am assuming that you are not salary. If it is a mandatory meeting, they are either required to pay you or give you comp time. In regards to a write up, if they want, they can terminate you. Indiana is an at-will state; meaning they can terminate you for any reason. Can an employer make a meeting mandatory without pay?
