I am meeting my boyfriend's parents for the 1st time in his sister's party. What preparations shall I do?

My boyfriend and I got an invitation from his sister for an informal party. She is hosting it at home, which means I will be meeting his parents in that informal situation. They are Romanian familiy, so they still live together, though they are adults. What shall I bring with me? What preparation shall I do? Is there any special Romanian custom? You should most definitely ask your boyfriend about the Romanian custom(s) or google it. I don't know, sorry.



But, act yourself. Dress casually but nicely at the same time. Act polite but be yourself at the same time. I would just bring a purse with normal stuff you would have. If you don't want to carry it inside then just leave it in your car or his car, etc.



Your boyfriend will most likely introduce you to his parents, shake their hand and say, "Nice to meet both of you" or "It's nice to finally meet the both of you."
