Well, having to go to the bathroom is a reflex action. Babies wear diapers and go as soon as they feel the urge.
However, when we get older, we are CONSTANTLY holding in our wastes until we can find time to use the bathroom. It is difficult to find time to go if we are at a meeting, making a speech, busy, etc.
I know this sounds weird, but I was bored so I started thinking: If adults and children, like babies, went to the bathroom as soon as they had to, would we be healthier and live longer?Would we live longer if we went to the bathroom as soon as we had the urge to?
Interesting thought, Deede. It makes sense to me! It's definitely healthier not to hold it, so if person held it often, yes, that could possibly shorten his/her life.
Interesting question gets a star in my book! :) ;)
