Moving to a new city - should I live alone or with a roommate?

I'm planning to move to a city where I don't know a single person. I was wondering if it would be better for me to live by myself, or if I should look to rent with someone else (craiglist)..that might give me the opportunity to meet people easier by living with someone. I think you should probably live alone. Its much safer. Also, Ive learned its difficult enough to live with people Ive known for years it would be even harder being thrown into a living situation with someone I know nothing about. They could be complete slobs that have a tendency to quit jobs and split on the bills. Live by yourself. I would live by myself at the beginning.You will make friends in the workplace and at social occasions.You never know who you would be sharing with.Perhaps if you find you are lonely after a while share,but check out who will be living with you. i would live with someone else because your moving some where new and its harder to live on your own it will give you a better chanse to get a job get some money and would be a lost less harder buy new house stuff
Alone because some times roomates can be crazy!!!!
