I don't want to show up to something I'm not a part of! What's the usual neighborhood size, and is everyone invited? There's a couple hand-painted A-stand signs; the nearest is about 3-4 blocks from me. Plus I live in an apartment not a house. They just say "neighborhood meeting tonight King school 7pm". What is it usually for? Should I go?If there's a "neighborhood meeting" advertised, who's invited? How big an area is the "neighborhood"?
If you see the sign, you're in the neighborhood. In any case, people who get off their *** to attend neighborhood meetings probably aren't the type to mug you so the worst that could happen is a few of them could bore you to death. Have your escape route to the door planned. If there's a "neighborhood meeting" advertised, who's invited? How big an area is the "neighborhood"?
You are part of that neighbourhood.
Think of it in terms of walking distance and where your children might go to school.
Yes, go. It's great to know who you live near, it's called community!
